Thought of as a land lock state, New Hampshire actually has some of the best sailing in New England.  If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Boston or simply looking for some new spots to sail, New Hampshire is the place for you.

1.) Portsmouth:

Arguably the most well known spot on our list of places to sail in New Hampshire, Portsmouth has all the charm and character you would expect from New England.  With tidal currents around 4 knots and located in the Piscataqua River basin, Portsmouth is an easy day sail with great views.

2.) New Castle:

Earning the distinction as the smallest and easternmost town in New Hampshire, New Castle is a great place to sail if you are looking to get off the grid for a bit.  New Castle is also the only town completely located on islands in New Hampshire (for those if us who love fun facts).  If you want to take some time to explore the uniqueness of this small but bustling town, make sure you dock at Wetnworth By the Sea, a charming little marina in the heart of the town.

3.) Seabrook:

Boarding Massachusetts, Seabrook is one of the best places to sail in New Hampshire for its relative convenience and beautiful beaches.  Take advantage of the Hampton River Marina if you are looking to spend a day on the beach.  Located five minutes from state parks, beaches and open sea fishing, the Hampton River Marina also has restaurants and mini-golf near by.
